Through his eyes, Judah has yet again met one of his heroes! He was (and still is) so very excited. To be watching him at the time he saw this BatTrooper (yeah, that's what I'll call him) he froze, then his eyes got huge (I'm thinking to myself ""WT.....") so as I turned around to see what he was looking at his voice rang out: "Mommy! Mommy look! BATMAN!!!!" which could be heard throughout the parking lot along with giggles and a few cheers for my star-struck son. This BatTrooper looked over and to Judah's pure overjoyment, gave him a wave. Then slowly Judah began to notice the other Troopers: The FlashTrooper, SuperTrooper, ArmyTrooper and of course Miss Robin. (BatTrooper's sidekick was a chick! AWESOME.) This just brought on jumps of joy for mister Judah and brought him to bolt to see the the heroes. Catching up to Judah he was hi-fiving BatTrooper with the biggest grin I've ever seen. So here I am camera-happy-mommy, ready to snap this most perfect picture when I notice little Toni by my side, very shy and carefully watching these huge Troopers, but a small smile curled up before she asked if she could be in the picture. But of course! She slowly walked over and stood next to Judah as I snapped the picture of a lifetime.
What a great start to an awesome day! The parade was about to start (Fiesta days in my home town) so as we were getting ready I wanted some of the action so I asked BatTrooper to snap a pic and I grabbed FlashTrooper and SuperTrooper decided to hop in too. Score! Yes, the kid in me does decide to come out once in a while, and when it does much fun is on the way! My son laughed as we posed, which in turn made me giggle like a kid, which then even made the Troopers laugh themselves.
Yes. FlashTrooper is wearing glasses. Haha. Seriously, these guys are the coolest things ever. I can't get over it. GENIUS!
Annnnd on to another part of the adventure of today. (Don't worry, Trooper guys will return a little later on). We walk through the parade, the twins were on the float with Little Logger and Little Miss Fiesta (THE cutest things ever) as I pushed miss Carmen in her stroller, and we passed out bubbles (well, I passed them out and she, chewed, on them.) She was waving up a storm stirring up many "awww"s and tons of "how cute"s out of the crowd, loving every minute of it (of course she was, after all she is my kid!).
After we were done with the parade and chatted a bit with Mom (who was the Grand Marshal of the parade this year, what an honor!) we walked back a bit and watched the rest of the of it while everyone else took the float back to the house. And yes. Again we pass those most awesome Troopers. Carmen didn't like them nearly as much as the kids did (granted she did need a nap like 2 hours before that moment), well in fact she wasn't thrilled with them at all. The look she gave them could stop a robber in his tracks! BatTrooper wasn't too excited about that, so he moved on and high-fived the swarm of kids coming our way.

(oh yeah! TOTALLY forgot about LoggerTrooper! Off to the right...)
Moving on to a bit later in the day...after a very long walk to the park. Moseying around and enjoying the vendors and things like that around the area, we found the face painting booth! BOY Judah ran up to it pretty much begged me to let him get the (what else?) Batman sign on his eager face. How could I say no?? He sat perfectly still and excited while she nice woman painted his face. She handed him the mirror when she was done and he exclaimed "yeah!". Toni found some princess-flower-butterfly design that was perfect for her. It even had some sparkles! I swear the twins were the happiest kids on earth today.
I was happy to let the kiddos run off some energy at the play area. Swings, slide and a daring wooden bridge, oh yes! Run off that energy dear children, run it off! Sipping on strawberry lemonade we waited for mom to set up her booth before grabbing lunch of yummy corndogs.
After pretty much inhaling lunch, mom and Toni wandered off to find some earrings while yet again Judah spotted him. BatTrooper. And before I knew he was gone, completely bolted to him! He was SO proud to show off his face to BatTrooper, and in return he got the BIGGEST high-five! Judah jumped a little and everything. I believe he had found his new best friend.
Then it was back home to get LoveBug her nap, settle the twins down from the exciting day and get myself ready for work. The joy I get from seeing my kids so happy, and so excited with just loving life? Priceless, I wouldn't change it for the world.
One thing I do know, my children may not be perfect, but they're mine. And when they're with me, it's amazing. Seeing the pure joy in their eyes as they learn and discover new thing is something that's just, well, perfect. Watching them grow is difficult yet satisfying knowing they're becoming little people, their personalities are so much fun to see develop. I'm amazed at how smart they are and can't wait to see who they become.
I'm still working on myself and finding my right place in this world. Stephen went out of town this weekend to DJ and though we still talked/texted, it was hard not having him around. At the same time, knowing he wouldn't be gone long, and knowing he's making bigger positive strides in his career, made it ok. I'm so very proud of him. This is just the new beginning!
Well. It's late. I'm actually feeling my mind want to rest. Wonderful :)
Good night world, friends and my 9 followers....until next time! Hopefully sooner than later.
